I don’t know what is has to take to get people to realize that driving drunk is NOT a joke. I cannot even begin to comprehend the level of selfishness that is required to make the decision to get behind the wheel while under the influence. Friends of those who drive drunk, it is YOUR responsibility to take the keys. And to those who have driven drunk in the past, you got lucky. Next time you go to get behind the wheel, think about the other people on the road. We lost two really great Captains this weekend due to a drunk driver. I hope no one ever has to experience that again. My heart goes out to the families and friends of those two girls that have passed, and also for those still in the hospital. Driving while under the influence is not something that should be taken lightly. Not only are you putting yourself in danger, but you are also endangering everyone on the road. So please, THINK before you ACT. It could make a difference in life and death.
